Lynn Symansky and Donner “aka the Flying Deer” are spreading their wings and heading to the Pau CCI**** in France in October. Lynn brought Donner, a 10-year-old OTTB, up through the ranks since he was a five-year-old and the pair have had some amazing opportunities and successes along the way. The pair were the 2010 American Eventing Intermediate Champions in 2010, members of the gold medal Pan American Team, and this spring they won The Fork CIC*** and finished fifth at the Rolex Kentucky CCI****.

Donner was bred for racing at Dresden Farm, literally right around the corner from Lynn’s farm in Middleburg, VA. Following their great results this spring the pair are ready to take flight from their home in Virginia and head across the pond! Although they are the grateful recipients of the Jacqueline B. Mars Grant from the USET/USEF, Lynn owns Donner herself and covers all of his costs through her teaching and training business and the costs to compete abroad exceed the generous grant.

In an effort to raise money to help offset Donner’s costs, Lynn Symansky Equestrian is hosting an online auction which will run for the next week and will conclude at the August 17th BBQ at Handlen Farm in Middleburg, VA. Lynn’s amazing sponsors, friends, families, and supporters have gathered together to donate some awesome items to the auction that you are definitely going to want to get your hands on!

Items include: Animo Paddock Boots; Right Touch Massage; Braiding and Clipping from Ann Ferrio; Quest Plus; Charles Owen Helmet; CWD products; Custom painting from Linda Kriegel; Saratoga Horseworks Anti-Sweat Sheet; Cross-Country schooling passes for Loch Moy, Gordonsdale, Surefire, and Morningside; Dinner for two at The French Hound, Lessons with Doug Payne, Hannah Sue Burnett, Jennie Brannigan, Kristin Schmolze, Sharon White, Skyeler Icke Voss, Sinead Halpin, and Jan Byyny; Jimeale New York Products; Magna Wave Therapy Package; Entries to Maryland H.T., Seneca Valley H.T., Virginia H.T., Morningside CT; Bodywork Session with Bob Rush; The Tack Box Products, Estate Appraisal from Freeman’s Auction; Red Horse Tavern Gift Certificate; Massage with Courtenay Rucker; Wine Cellar Gift Certificate; Homemade Wooden Bridle Rack, Saddle Rack, and Tack Box; Mike McNally Photographs; One Night Stay at The Blackthorne Inn; Phillips 22” LED TV; Photography Session with Lisa Barry; Loudoun Pilates Lesson Package; Rebound Hoof Pack; Shoeing from Daryl Mattern; Sore No More Product Basket; SpectraVET Laser; Sports Medicine Package with Dr. Kent Allen; Strongid C; ThinLine Pads, Boots, and Reins; Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium Tickets; Vaccine Certificates; Barrel Oak Winery Tastings; Watercolor Painting from Linda Lawson; and Full Stride Equine Massages.

So here is how its going to work – bidding opens online Friday, August 9 at www.symanskyequestrian.com/auction and you can bid all week to your heart’s content. The online bidding will close on Saturday, August 17; however, party attendees will have the chance to put in the final bid in person at the BBQ! So if there is an item you really want we recommend coming to the party or putting in a bid that can’t be beat!

We hope that you all can join us on Saturday, August 17 at 6:30 PM for some yummy BBQ, beverages, celebrating, and the chance to tour Lynn’s farm and meet Donner in person! RSVPs are greatly appreciated.
