It's common knowledge that the horse world is very supportive and tightly-knit. You'll see riders helping each other out at shows and clinics, cheering each other on, crewing and grooming for each other and offering advice and support. And in that spirit, it's time to come together to support one of our own.
Susan Berrill, a prominent event and dressage trainer and competitor, well known in Area 1 and 2, had a tragic accident at King Oak Horse Trials on Saturday, September 11. She is currently hospitalized and will be unable to work for a long time.
First, we would like to work with trainers to coordinate a series of shows and clinic days to benefit Sue. Second, we are holding a dinner/silent auction to augment this. We are seeking donations from those that aren't in a position to offer clinics. Services such as farrier visits, rentals, products, show entries, etc, are always popular auction items, and we will give you publicity at our event. Monetary donations will also be accepted into a special account set up for Sue.
If you are able to offer a clinic please let us know possible dates. We would like to take advantage of as many clinic and show offers as we can without creating scheduling conflicts.
Please do everything you can to help and thank you in advance for your consideration of our efforts!
