The Area II Annual Meeting and Year End Awards Luncheon will be taking place on Sunday January 13, 2013 at Carradoc Hall at the Holiday Inn Leesburg, VA. The price has been drastically reduced for both the meeting and the awards luncheon this year in order for the membership to take advantage of both the speakers and the forums to not only increase your equine knowledge but to also participate in the planning and development of Area II! You will receive additional emails with more details about the meeting. The discussion forums include the Adult Riders and Young Riders – including YRAP, the Rules Forum to discuss the new rules (including the One Fall and Out Rule! and licensing of riders put forth by FEI), and also the Council Meeting and Organizer’s Meeting which are open to all of the members of Area II. There are other speakers and will be announced as they are confirmed – stay tuned. Last year we successfully added a keynote speaker to the Awards Luncheon and will continue that this year as well! We hope to have an upper level rider discuss David’s approach for US eventing. It represents a major change and he has plans not just that effect the upper level riders, but even our youngest riders, Young Event horses, and breeding programs. Also we will again be having our silent auction which includes entries in our area horse trial. This year we will have the auction online as well as at the meeting.
