Competitions

In an exciting new development, the Difficult Run Pony Club will be offering individual eventing tests at its May 7-8 Horse Trials in Herndon, Virginia.  These tests will be  offered in dressage, stadium jumping and cross country, at Beginner Novice, Novice, Training and Preliminary.  Riders may enter any combination of up to three tests.

Horses and Riders do not need to be entered into the Horse Trials to participate in Tests of Choice.   There are no rider or horse membership requirements or starter/drug fees for the tests.    A prize list with a full list of rules, fees and refund policy is available on the website, http://drpc.ponyclub.org. An entry form and USEA release can also be found on the website.

For the August 20-21 Horse Trials, a Youth Team Challenge will add a new dimension for riders 21 and under.  Teams of three-four riders will compete against each other for additional prizes and ribbons.  Teams may be made up of riders at any level and may represent Combined Training organizations, Pony Clubs, schools, barns or just groups of friends!  Entries sent as a team will receive a free tack stall.   Individuals can also participate by being combined with other individuals.    More information is available on the website, http://drpc.ponyclub.org.
