Facing two months trotting around an indoor? Do you even have an indoor to trot around? Do the two long, cold months until the show season starts take away your inspiration to ride? This winter Bright Moon Eventing is hosting a clinic series to help beat the winter blues. Join us every Sunday in the indoor for our clinics to have fun and keep our skills sharp for the spring season.
Jumping/ Gymnastics- Work over gymnastics to keep your horse fit and limber. The groups will have no more than three people and will be divided by level. There are no set levels and I will combine riders based upon the height of jumps requested. Lessons are $30 per person for an hour.
Pilates/Dressage How many times have we heard our instructors tell us to get our horses straight? We can only do that if we ourselves are straight. Work with Michelle Dowel from The Fitness Studio in Winchester on the mat where she evaluates your weaknesses. Then get on your horse and work to stay straight in the saddle. Three people per group. Lessons are $50 for an hour on the mat with Michelle and an hour in the saddle.
Dressage Pilates Clinic dates are: Jan. 8, Jan. 22, Feb. 5 and Feb. 19 Jumping Clinic Dates are: Jan. 15, Jan. 28 (the only Saturday), Feb. 12 and Feb. 26
There will be no official entry form for these clinics. Please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by the Wednesday prior to the clinic to reserve your spot. Include your name, the date of the clinic you are signing up for and for the jumping clinic the level you want to jump. I will have the schedule for the clinic out by Thursday evening and will put it up on the What s Happening page on my website (www.brightmooneventing.com). Approved Helmets are required at all times when mounted. NO DOGS allowed on the property at any time. The clinics may be cancelled due to weather or unsafe driving conditions. In that case they may be rescheduled for another weekend if there is interest.
The goal of these clinics is to be low-stress, informal and fun so I m not requiring that riders pay ahead. Sometimes life happens and you have to cancel at the last minute. Riders are allowed to cancel at the last minute (meaning between the time the schedule is published and the clinic date) once but if they have to do it more than that we request that they still pay the clinic fee unless their place can be filled from the wait list.
