We had great time at the Fork this weekend. Many of the YRs were riding more than one horse, which made taking advantage of any of the free YR Advancement activities difficult for some. On Friday, three riders took advantage of shadow scribing in dressage. This is becoming very popular as the YRs learn what is important in riding their test, or what their judge prefers to see, while also getting to practice scribing.
Friday night we set show jumping with Sally Ike, and once again those who did got around with a double clear. A few parents, signifcant others, and grooms, came up to Show Jumping on Saturday when they had time and assisted with jump crew to reset the courses from Intermediate, to Preliminary, to Training. Who ever the volunteer gate keeper was for Intermediate was FANTASTIC.
One of the goals of the YRAP is to build relationships and promote teamwork amongst the members. We are beginning to learn who each other is by updating the YRAP board found near the scoreboard at the events. We are also looking for each other outthere and saying "hi". So if you are at an event and see your name is missing, please ADD it using the marker that is there.
The YRs riding at the Fork were:
Jules Ennis
Adrian Jones
Hanna Krueger
Jordan Litter
Caroline Martin
Erin Nolan
Chase Shipka
Benita Strini
Arden Wildasin
