2017 Clark Montgomery Clinic

A Two-Day Dressage and Jumping clinic on Loch Moy Farm’s all-weather footed rings.


Originally hailing from Texas, Clark has been living and competing in the eastern US, UK and Europe since 1999. Clark has been a regular fixture on the USEF’s High Performance and World Class training lists for many years. Over the past 4 years in England, Clark and his two main competition horses, Loughan Glen and Universe produced 11 top 10 finishes including 4 first place finishes for Loughan Glen. Clark and Glen’s stellar record over the past 2 years landed them a spot representing the US at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

EMTC Winter Workshop

Sandy River Equestrian Center and The Equine Management Training Center are hosting a winter workshop on preparing for your spring season, January 13-15, 2017.

Prepare for your spring season with Sam Burton Henley, EMTC Program Administrator, as
she offers an informative continuing education weekend. Clinic perks include:
• Review of Specialty Equipment
• Secrets of Show Turnout
• Sponsor Product Demonstrations including Nunn Finer, Professional’s Choice, Shapley’s,
Absorbine, Andis, Ice Horse, Sport Innovations, Back on Track, and Horseware
• Sponsor SWAG, Continental Breakfast plus Lunch on Saturday and Sunday, Dinner on
Saturday, for all Clinic Participants
Advanced registration is appreciated for meal and SWAG planning purposes. On-site bunk
style housing is available at a cost of $20 per night.

Fair Hill Tapas to Support Young Riders

Please join us for some very special events and fundraisers over the next weeks to support our Young Riders team! We’re working to send the team back to NAJYRC this year to defend their gold medals and need your help. Our first one is a FANTASTIC competitors’ party at Fair Hill on Friday, April 22.  Tapas, silent and live auctions (thank you John Nunn of Bit of Britain), and a chance to meet our young riders and support the team!!

Greystone FEH/YEH Test & Combined Test and Schooling show

On May 15th Greystone Farm will again host a Future and Young Event Horse qualifying event as well as a Combined Test and Schooling show in the afternoon. Young horses will compete in the morning, presented to judge Janice Conlon. After the completion of the Future and Young Event Horse competition, we will continue on and offer Combined Tests as well as a Dressage only Schooling Show. Practicing an eventing tests only starts at $25 so don't miss this opportunity for schooling. Extra jumping rounds are $15.

Cross Country on All Weather Rings Open All Winter! (MD)

Cross Country Schooling photo

Cross Country on All Weather Rings is now open through March 10. Call 301-514-0111 for an appointment. You can school over 90 solid xcountry fences, Preliminary - Elementary on 3 All Weather rings (520' x 260'', 550' x 200' and 200' x 240') all connected by ramps and tracks with footing.

Cross Derby courses are set for all levels and they include banks, ditch and trakehner. The $50 fee includes the Loch Moy Farm cross country schooling course with water, banks and ditches. Take advantage of the great hills and long gallops for conditioning.

Plantation Field Schooling Jumper & Dressage Shows (PA)

Wednesday, August 12th (Jumper) August 19th (Dressage)    

Exciting News! We have made changes to our website to make it easier for EVERYONE to get the information they want.  

We have also made several changes to our sign-up process in an ever ending effort to make things as easy for everyone to enter our schooling shows. New changes include an email sent to each entry confirming their acceptance, one bridle number per horse and the deadline for signing up has been changed from 9 p.m. to 7 p.m. So please come and join us Wednesday August 12th for the last day of our summer series of stadium jumping at Plantation Field's Tapeta ring. Then join us again the following Wednesday, August 19th for the dressage schooling day.
