All Young Riders: the 2023 U21 Applications for the USEA Clinics are now open. The five clinics are again regional this year, and Area II and Area III will each host one of them, as far as we know at this point. If chosen, a rider will have a choice as to which one they would prefer to attend and is asked to list their preferences on the application. They are held in the summer, with the final winter clinic consisting of the best riders in the regional clinics, chosen by the national selectors, held in Florida in January 2024. In order to be chosen for the regional clinic, a Young Rider must be MER at Training Level, with most riders are at Modified/Preliminary in order to gain the most from the process. There are only 12 spaces available at each clinic. The educational process is almost one-on-one with the some of the best eventing educators in the country. This is the second year this program has been offered by the USEA. In 2022, Area II Young Riders Caitlin O'Rourk and Dylan Philipps proudly represented us in the national clinic in Florida in January.
All applications are due by March 15, so that Area II YR selectors can make recommendations by April 1. The links are below. As always if you need help writing your application or have any questions, contact Chris Donovan (YR Coordinator). WE NEED APPLICATIONS NOW.
