Just a Quick note to everyone to make sure you watch your horses when you turn them out in the snow!! If they try and roll they can get cast and not be able to get up. This just happened to my mare Combat Camera. We turned her out in 2 feet of snow and as per usual she went a few feet into the gate and went down to roll. and as she tried to roll all the way over to the other side the snow sank another foot and she was stuck with her back and could not move. Fortunately Amy and I were there and worked quickly with shovels to dig the snow away from the downhill side and then grabbed her legs and were able to pull her over and she popped rite up and shook off the snow and looked at me as if to say Thanks!! So watch your ponies when you turn them out and check on the often!!
