Adult Riders

Hello Adult Riders!

We have some wonderful opportunities on tap for you this year.  If you are new to the Adult Rider program, welcome and if you are returning, we are glad to have you back!

First I want to say we will continue to support the Training and Novice 3-Day at Waredaca in the Fall.  More details on that as the time gets closer.

We are planning a special Adult Rider camp August 10th and 11th at Kelly'Ford Equestrian Center in Remington, VA.  The wonderful Carol Kozlowski will be our clinician for two days of flat, stadium and XC work.  Mark your calendars now and plan to attend this event.  In order to make this more affordable than past clinics and camps the fee for two days (includes facility fee) is $275 per horse and rider combination.  If you are a paid member of the Area 2 Adult Riders, you will get $75 off the cost of your entry!  Membership in the adult riders is only $25, so this is one way to get something back for your fee and membership.  Stabling, camping, and cabin rentals are available at an additional cost.  Full details and an entry form will be posted here soon as well as emailed to the adult riders email list.  Levels available will be Baby Beginner Novice thru Prelim.  We are planning a weekend of education, fun, camaraderie, and a Saturday night cookout.  I think this clinic will fill fast once we open it, so don't delay in getting your entries in!

The USEA Chronicle of the Horse Eastern Adult Team Challenge (ATC's) will be held at Windridge Farm Horse Trials in Moorsboro, NC, October 4-6 2013.  This is a recognized Horse Trial currently part of Area III.  You can find out more about Windridge on their website at: http://www.windridgeservices.com.  It promises to be a great time with competitors from Areas 2, 3 and 8 all committing so far.  Plan to attend one of the most fun events for adult riders of the year.

Keep smiling, riding and stay warm.  See you all soon!
