Let's make 2012 the best year to get out, get involved, join together, and compete.  We had a mild winter and a lot of folks went South early in the season so I hope everyone is warmed up and ready to go.  Whether you are just schooling, competing unrecognized or recognized, Area 2 has something for everyone.  I hope to see lots of you at the Area Championships this year, to be held at Morven Park on October 6-7, 2012.  And don't forget to start making plans to attend the Cronicle of the Horse USEA Eastern Adult Team Challenge this year at Virginia Horse Trials November 2-4, 2012.

There will be opportunites for special schooling discounts just for being a paid member of the Area II Adult Riders, so be sure to sign up if you haven't already.  In addition, we want you to have opportunities to learn and understand courses better.  In conjunction with the YRAP program, we hope to give you some additional course walk opportunites at various horse trials this year.  I'll keep you posted throughout the year if there are competitions that offer special adult rider divisions, so if you hear of a competition offering it, please be sure to  let the secretary know you want to be included when you enter.

Be sure to explore all that being an Area II Adult Rider has to offer and please let me know if there's anything I can do to help make this your program that works for you!  There are many opportunites from special divisions, year-end awards, and the Adult Team Challenge where life-long friendships are made!
